9:00am Traditional Worship

9:00am Traditional Worship

Our Traditional worship service is a lively mix of classic, gospel, and modern hymns, along with traditions, prayers, and creeds from the historic Christian faith. Our pastor gives the same message at both worship services, and he combines biblical teaching with media and storytelling to offer a practical message that instructs, inspires, and encourages.

Every Sunday we live stream our service, and we record it for on-demand viewing. You can follow us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube channel.

11am Pathway Contemporary Worship Service

11am Pathway Contemporary Worship Service

Our Pathway service is relaxed, casual, and spirited. Our music is a mix of popular songs on Christian radio, well-known modern worship, and new arrangements of beloved hymns. Our pastor gives the same message at both worship services, and he combines biblical teaching with media and storytelling to offer a practical message that instructs, inspires, and encourages.

Schedule a Campus Tour

We want you to feel welcome and comfortable on your first visit! Earlier in the week, consider contacting the church office at 225-654-2389 to schedule a campus tour. We can arrange for a staff member or a volunteer to meet you one weekday or evening to show you around. This can help make your first Sunday morning with us go more smoothly.

Honestly we don’t have a dress code, but here is what you can expect. At our Traditional service, there are a few men who wear sport coats and a few ladies who wear dresses, but this is not the norm. Most people are not that formal, and instead you will see a lot of business casual attire. At our Pathway Contemporary service, it is more relaxed and casual. You will see everything from blue jeans to casual attire to business casual attire. At both worship services feel free to wear what you want to wear.

Our church has four parking lots.

  1. Northwest parking lot (off of Bronco Lane by the children’s building)
  2. Southwest parking lot (off of Bronco Lane by the sanctuary & church office)
  3. Northeast parking lot (at the corner of Young Street & Rollins Road by the fellowship hall & the Little School)
  4. Southeast parking lot (off of Church Street by the sanctuary & youth building)

If you are coming to worship at the Traditional service, you may want to park in the SE, SW, or NW parking lots. If you are coming to worship at the Pathway Contemporary service, you may want to park in the SE or NE parking lots.

On Sunday mornings we offer a professionally staffed nursery for infants - 4 years. Your children are also welcome in worship where they are encouraged to participate in worship with you. At the entrances to worship, we also provide activity clipboards for children that can help them focus their creativity and learning during worship. See the Children’s Ministry page for more opportunities for children.

On Sunday mornings, coffee and donuts are offered in the Youth Building from 10-11am.

There are two entrances for Traditional worship. You may enter through the main entrance between the tall, white columns, or you may enter from the SW parking lot by the church office.

The entrance to the Pathway is under the covered walkway between the youth building and the fellowship hall and the Little School.

On the first Sunday of each month and on special holidays, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper also known as Holy Communion. When we observe Holy Communion we have an open table where everyone present is welcome to participate. In the ceremony, worshipers are invited to come down the center aisle to the table where they are given a piece of bread and an individual cup. As worshipers partake, they are invited to remember the body and blood of the Lord Jesus, his death on the cross, his resurrection, the new covenant, and the forgiveness of sins. After partaking, worshipers are invited to return to their seats through the outside aisles.

Between the worship services at 10:00 a.m. there are small groups who meet for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. To learn more about our Sunday School classes, see the Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, and Adult Ministries pages. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact our church office.
