The Children’s ministry at ZUMC is led by director Madison Stilson who is assisted by a team of adult volunteers. Madison is available throughout the week to meet with parents and can be reached at email@example.com.
Children in Worship: At ZUMC we value our children participating in Worship! Children learn a lot by participating in the service through singing, praying, and listening to the sermons. To help young minds to listen, there are children's activity clipboards in the entrance area of each Worship space. Children can do activity sheets and puzzles, and they can even write notes to the Pastor & Children's Director!
Nursery: A nursery is available for infants through 4 years during the Sunday School hour and is staffed by our professionally trained nursery staff.
Sunday School: Sunday School is available for children in K - 4th grade. We meet in the Children's Room at 10:00am for a snack and an engaging lesson, crafts, and games from our Bible curriculum.
Parents of Children: Parents can drop off their children in the Children’s Room foyer from 9:50am-10:05am. We aim to finish Children’s Sunday School by 10:50am to give families time to get to the Pathway service.
While children are in their Sunday School class, parents can attend “The Gathering” class, which meets at 10:00am in the Office Conference room.
We offer many fun events for our children and families! Our annual events include Trunk-or-Treat, the Children’s Christmas Parade Party an Easter Egg Hunt, and a Summer Family Celebration. We are currently adding more annual events, too! These seasonal events allow time for children and parents to have fellowship, enjoy exciting activities, and learn about God's Word.
