Children's MinistriesThe Children’s ministry at ZUMC is led by director Allison Milliron and a large team of adult volunteers. On most Tuesdays from 2:30-4:30pm Allison works from CC's Coffee House to be accessible to parents & children. She is also available throughout the week at her office at church, or by text, phone or email.
![]() Children in Worship: At ZUMC we value Children participating in Worship! Children learn a lot by participating in the service through singing, praying, and listening to the sermons. To help young minds to listen, there are Children's Activity Clipboards in the back of each Worship space. Children can draw or sculpt what they are seeing & hearing. They can do activity sheets and puzzles, and they can even write notes to the Pastor & Children's Director!
Nursery: A nursery is available for infants through 4 years during the Sunday School hour and is staffed by our professionally trained Nursery Staff.
Sunday School for Children PK4-4th Grade meets in the Children's Room at 10am for a snack and then an engaging video-based curriculum called "What's in the Bible." Students compete in a friendly team competition and everyone goes home with a prize! I.M.P.A.C.T. Pre-teens (5th-6th grade) meet separately. See the Preteen Page for more information. Parents of Children: Parents can drop off their children in the Children’s Room foyer from 9:50am-10:10am. We aim to finish Children’s Sunday School by 10:50am to give families time to get to the Pathway service. “The Gathering” class for parents meets at 10:00am in the Office Conference room. Adult participants watch & discuss the Bible Project Book Overview videos. Seasonal Events We offer "Kidventure,” an Easter Egg Hunt, Vacation Bible School, a Family Day-Retreat, Trunk-or-Treat, and a Children’s Christmas Parade Party. These seasonal events allow time for children and parents to hang out, enjoy some fun activities, eat some great food, and learn a little bit from God's Word. |
