Pre-Teen Ministry (5th & 6th Grades)
Students in the 5th & 6th grade meet together regularly for fellowship & study and are known as the “I.M.P.A.C.T.” Pre-teen Group. They are led by a team of dedicated adult volunteers.
Pre-Teen Sunday School: Preteens meet in the Story-Time room of the Children’s Wing for Sunday School at 10am on Sundays. Their class includes a snack, sharing highs & lows from their week, and then watching and discussing the "LOOP Show" preteen curriculum videos, and concluding with prayer.
Monthly Fellowship: Once a month, IMPACT Pre-teens go on an outing for fun & fellowship on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Whether they go skating, bowling, to the movies, or join together for a mission project, it is always a good time!
Confirmation and Preparation for Entering Youth Group: The IMPACT group helps students to transition into the Youth Ministry at ZUMC. During their 6th grade year, students go through a six-week Confirmation Class where they study the Christian faith along with our Methodist history. During the spring of their 6th grade year, students are allowed to attend Youth fundraisers and the Youth Praise Team as they prepare to go on Mission as Youth during the summer. They are promoted up to the Youth Group after VBS in June once they complete their 6th grade year.
